Project Detail
The gable roof structure features an open queen post design with PVC-wrapped beams that give the space real architectural character without the maintenance of painted wood. The vented soffit ceiling is finished in a warm tan tone consistent with the home’s exterior, and the open gable end frames the backyard view like a picture window. Composite decking in a rich warm brown tone pairs cleanly with the white vinyl railing system throughout — posts, balusters, and stair rails all match for a unified, finished look. The staircase transitions smoothly to grade with composite treads and continuous white railing on both sides. The deck structure is supported on concrete footings with the framing built to carry the additional load of the roof assembly. Shingles match the existing home roof and gutters and downspouts are integrated to manage water properly at the roofline.
